报告题目:Nanomaterials and supra-nanostructured for advanced energy and mechanical systems

报告摘要:

The development of high efficient and advanced energy mechanical systems, new energy generation and storage systems are the key research directions to safeguard the sustainable development of mankind. To develop high efficient and advanced unmanned system, the creation of new materials and associated systems is very important. This presentation will featurerecent development of structural nanomaterials and high mechanical properties of functional nanomaterials. Themechanisms of materials formation with different nano-structures by high efficient physical method will firstlybe reported by illustrating our latest findings / research progress on the nanomaterials withhigh strength and high ductility, hierarchical nano-twinned materials, supra-nanostructured materials with multiphase embedded structure, etc.The feasibility of applyingnew nanomaterials on various advanced energy mechanical systems, such as wind power plant, next generation of nuclear plant and concentrated solar energy, and ocean thermal energy conversion will be discussed. The application of new nanomaterials onthe newly designed light-weight automotive partswill be introduced. The latest findings on the nano-porous materials with high mechanical properties for energy storage devices such as supercapacitor will be revealed. By enhancing the mechanical properties of the nano-porous materials, the collapse problems caused by dealloying has been solved and the large-scale fabrication process for super nanostructured porous materials with pore size smaller than 10 nm has been developed. Lastly, the development and research direction of the biomimetic nanostructured materials on advanced energy systems will be discussed.
