Investigation and manipulation of charge transport through single molecules is fundamentally important to science and future electronic device application.  

Although we have gained a great deal of understanding on charge transport through molecular wire, we are far away to design functions that allow us to manipulate electronic signal in single molecular level.  

In this presentation, I will discuss our research effort in designing molecular diodes and model molecular transistors.  

All of our results point to an important effect caused by molecular dipoles.
